Getallen en geld
Getallen en geld
You are in the Netherlands. You need to understand numbers and prices.
Cultural note: In the Netherlands, most people pinnen (pay by debit card). Many shops and cafés prefer pin, though most still accept cash. Prices are in euros and cents. You say "twee euro vijftig" for €2,50. For amounts under one euro, Dutch speakers say the number of cents: "vijftig cent" for 50 cents. Dutch uses a comma for decimals, not a dot: €3,50 means three euros and fifty cents.
